Original description: "To The Skies" is about Scootaloo and her emotions as she grapples with the reality that she may never be able to fly.

Why stay awake where I am bound to the ground,
when I can dream about a life above the clouds?
What is the point of having wings if I can’t fly?
Why be a pegasus if I can never take to the-
skies?

I hear the world looks so much better from above.
Wish I could spend time looking down ‘stead of looking up.
Ruffles my feathers when I see somepony fly.
They don’t know how lucky they are that they can take to the-
skies.

No matter how hard I try or how much I grow,
I might never learn to fly on my very own.
It may be that better wings aren’t my destiny.
My place could be down here with the grass and trees.
But it turns out there’s no need to look up or down,
just around at the friends that surround me.
This one thought makes my heart soar a mile high:
